Wild, wilder, wildest
It is getting colder again, darker faster, the leaves are falling from the trees and sometimes the fireplace is already lit.
The summer and its heat are over and autumn is making its appearance.
Not to forget the chestnuts falling from the trees, or the children collecting them.
But also the chestnut mushroom is present again, which lives up to its name by its autumnal taste.
Gradually, the wind becomes more inclement and finally this winter the snow will also start to fall again.
White plains, trees with a white blanket, thick coats and sledding children.
All this can only mean one thing: the wonderful game season is upon us again starting Oct. 15!
Enjoy delicious fall dishes that will slowly warm you up after a day spent outside.
Imagine for a moment that you are sitting in a restaurant enjoying rich soups, wild boar, rabbit and venison steaks, for example.
The thought alone makes my mouth water.
The atmosphere at this time is especially cozy and warm, not to mention the beautiful autumn colors spreading outside.
This time of year may last for months.
At Anton’s has prepared a menu for this beautiful season: Wild & Wintry.
And I can assure you, the appetizer alone was delicious!
Especially the surprising bruschetta with wild boar ham, but also the stew of game with fresh sauerkraut and roseval potatoes, the Wild duo where you poke both venison and wild boar or the rabbit leg where you lick your fingers.
This restaurant’s dishes are wonderfully suited to the time of year.
All in all, the game season is one to enjoy and they know that all too well here in Kaatsheuvel.
With friends and family delicious food, drinks, chatting, laughing, laughing and roaring.
The Brabant conviviality is sought again and the cold will certainly not spoil the fun.
The warmth is found with each other: it is time to be together again.
